What is TMA?

The Turnaround Management Association is the only international nonprofit association dedicated to the development of a stronger economy through the restoration of corporate value. TMA's members include hands-on turnaround and crisis managers, consultants, attorneys, accountants, lenders, investment bankers, investors, auctioneers, appraisers, valuation experts, and human resource professions.

The Turnaround Management Association represents over 4000 members around the world. Headquartered in Chicago, TMA has a large network of active chapters.

The Ohio Chapter

Headquartered in Cleveland, The Ohio Chapter includes nearly 200 members from most of our regional banks, local representatives of most national financial organizations, major accounting and law firms as well as a wide array of supporting professionals.

The Ohio Chapter conducts professional development programs for its members and for the business community. It provides a networking opportunity for members and guests through frequent and interesting programs. We publish a quarterly newsletter and participate with other chapters of TMA in our region as well as on a national basis. Pro-bono services are provided to selected public and private entities.

Recently the chapter sponsored a branch in Columbus to better serve central and southern Ohio.

Inquiries by prospective new members are welcome. Contact the Chapter Administrator at 216-861-5627 or e-mail: admin@tmaohio.org. Join us for a meeting in the near future. Or, click the "Join TMA" task bar to your left for a membership application.

Ethics and Obligations

TMA's code of ethics expresses the practice standards to which its members aspire in their daily professional activities. Each member is pledged to uphold the law and human rights in his/her practice, to enhance professional knowledge, strictly observe confidentiality and pledge duty solely to the client.

"A member shall serve his or her client independently, competently, and in a professional manner. A member should exercise unprejudiced and unbiased judgement on the client's behalf". The complete Code of Ethics is available through the National TMA web site: www.turnaround.org.
